How to Create a Retargeting Campaign?

Retargeting is a type of advertising that follows website visitors around on the internet after they have left your website. When visitors leave your website without completing a desired action (like purchasing a product) retargeting helps you reconnect with them by showing relevant ads across their different devices. By building an “audience” (retargeting list) of users who have visited your website, you can create customized campaigns, tailored to those specific users, and which will only be seen by those users.

Setting up retargeting is very simple and easy! The only thing you need to do extra is inserting a small piece of code on the page on which you want to build your retargeting list. Rest is the same as creating a traditional campaign. 

Once you have created your segment pixel and inserted it to your webpage, and users have been added to it, you can create your retargeting campaign. If you would like to get good results, we recommend you to wait until you have minimum 100 users in your list(s). 

We do not charge extra for any retargeting campaigns. You only pay for the impressions you win, just like any campaign. From any source you get a visitor, we add that user to your retargeting audience.

How to create a retargeting campaign?

1) Create a segment pixel & insert pixel code

In order to get more information related to segment pixels (what is a segment pixel, how to create a segment pixel and how to insert segment pixel) please read this article.

2) Start creating your campaign

Complete the general section as described in this article.

3) Include your segment pixel to the campaign

On campaign creation page, scroll down to see Segment Pixels, under targeting options. Click Include and select the segment pixel you created before. 


4) Activate the campaign

Click Save and by default, users will be targeted until you deactivate your campaign.
