Daypart targeting is a campaign targeting option which allows you to serve your ads during specific days or hours of the day. Based on your option, you can run your campaigns only when it’s most likely to reach and engage your target audience. By only delivering the campaign at relevant times of the day you can get the most out of your advertising budget. It’s a great way to limit wasted spend.
You may already be segmenting your audience by geography, technology or demography. Dayparting adds another layer to your targeting and increases your chances of converting better at the best time of day.
For example, a lunch delivery service may use daypart targeting every day from 11 am to 1 pm. And if most of the customers of that business are office workers, running campaigns from Monday to Friday would be much more logical.
You can set your daypart targeting while creating a campaign or update your targeting options by editing your campaign.
Setting Up Daypart Targeting
1) Start creating your campaign
Complete the general section as described in this article.
2) Select daypart
On campaign creation page, scroll down to see Day Parts, under targeting options. Click Specific to select days or hour of the day.
3) Activate the campaign
Click Save and by default, users will be targeted until you deactivate your campaign.
